Guangzhou and Foshan (Greater Bay Area) Study and Exchange Tour
From 8 to 10 May 2019, eleven of our staff went on a study and exchange tour to Guangzhou and Foshan. Visits were made to a number of government departments and rehabilitation service units there, namely the Civil Affairs Bureau and Children’s Welfare Home in Guangzhou, and the Civil Affairs Bureau, Disabled Persons’ Federation, Social Welfare Centre and Xiqiao Town Sheltered Workshop in the Nanhai District, Foshan. The team learnt about the operation of the units. They exchanged with workers of the units their service experience and the differences between Hong Kong and mainland China in social service concepts and methods for the benefit of the development of social welfare work in Hong Kong and mainland China.
