Shui Chuen O Day Activity Centre and Hostel Opening Ceremony cum 1st Anniversary Celebration

Shui Chuen O Day Activity Centre and Hostel Opening Ceremony cum 1st Anniversary Celebration was successfully held on 26th September 2020 (Saturday). The ceremony was held in the form of live webcast so that everyone could celebrate together. We were honored to have Mr. Kok Che Leung, Deputy Director (Administration) of Social Welfare Department as the officiating guest.

 

Ms. Kwong Sum Mei, Esther, Chairperson of Broad of Directors of Wai Ji Christian Service delivered a welcoming speech. “With funding from the Social Welfare Department, Shui Chuen O Day Activity Centre and Hostel was officially opened in March 2019, serving 50 service users with intellectual disabilities or autism now. As it’s the latest service unit of the Agency, Shui Chuen O unit is an important milestone of the Agency.”

In his congratulatory speech, Mr. Kok Che Leung Deputy Director (Administration) of Social Welfare Department expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the Agency in serving the service users and to take care of them in different ways.

 

Mr. Wu Ting Pang, Sunny, Chief Executive of the Agency gave a thank you speech to thank the co-workers for their creativity for using technology to provide services during the epidemic and maintaining close contact with their families to support their physical and mental needs.

 

Mr. Sin Wing Cheung, a family member of the service user living in Shui Chuen O unit shared his feelings and presented a handmade souvenir by the service users to Mr. Kok.
